The Milky Way stared down at me as I stood on the beach in Tofino at midnight.
Bella Pacifica didn’t attract many campers at the end of October. I took a long drink from my baby blue Nalgene bottle, the kind that was supposed to glow in the dark, and listened to the waves landing on the soft sand.
The air smelled briny, transplanting me back to nights spent on the shores of Cape Cod watching the migration of stars across the night sky.
